Fundraising goal reduced because of local award. Individual donations more crucial than ever!

January 29, 2017

Some good news to report in this update: Our group received an award from the USAO academic activities fund that covered most of the conference registration fees for the traveling students!

In the interest of transparency, we have reduced our fundraising goal accordingly.

However, as academic activities was the only fund from which we reasonably could expect assistance, we now need your help more than ever to cover the remaining travel costs. Please donate if you can and share our campaign with friends.

Thank you so much, as always.

Susy, Anne, and Cody are polishing their presentations for next month's conference!

January 19, 2017

Our research students are getting ready to deliver their research to the international academic audience of the Southwest Popular and American Culture Association. Susy Leonard will read her analysis of consumption and addiction in David Foster Wallace's iconic novel Infinite Jest. Cody Coponiti and Anne Tsonetokoy will present their study on representations of politics and political parties on television.

Many thanks to everyone who is supporting this valuable opportunity.
